Turds On TV

Old Baggy Eyes is back, appropriately appearing on "The Football League Show", home of the Fizzy Pop and below. He has just been asked if he fancies the Barnsley job and looked utterly non plussed. "Barnsley? It's not so long ago that I was interviewed for the England job," he must have been thinking!

Imagine for a moment, just imagine, if Turds had been made National coach! I suppose he couldn't have cocked it up any more than McClanger did and, had he secured the job, he would not have been available to take over from Alan Pantsdown would he? Where would we be now I wonder, had Turds and Egg never formed their unholy alliance?

LOL What a load of crap! Turds took us on the worst losing run in the club's history! The team rallied around Neill, Noble and Tevez, Turds had given up by the time a linesman gave us the goal that never was and a dodgy penalty against Blackburn!

16:28, So you think that it was down to Curbs that we survived relegation at the end of the 06/07 season? Where the hell did you deduce that from? It was the players that finally got there arses into gear that were inspired by the likes of Neil, Noble, Green and Tevez. Curbs is possibly the worst manager that West Ham have had in my life time and I'm nearly 42 yrs old. He was shit as his brand of football was so dire and lower league style, that I found it almost embarrassing and cringe worthy to watch. Ron Greenwood set the standard of good, exiting and attacking football that West Ham have always played, call it a template if you like and every other manager since has stuck to that template or at least tried to, but not that twat! Oh no, he introduced his own brand of boring football in which he played out the percentages tactics which was turning us into another Charlton, a system would was always destined to fail. He along with Egg-head with their transfer activities were acting like a couple of kids in a toy shop, which has contributed to the financial mess that we are in today. As fanno says, You're talking a load of crap mate.

DE - I was no fan of Curbs' 'style', but for me Roeder was far worse.

Oh god yes, far, far, worse IMO.

But yeah, 16:28, you are talking out of your Arse nal.

MTM, Roeder's and Curbishley's win, draw and loss ratio is virtually identical. Roeder took us down with a team that was far too strong to be relegated but Curbishley took us to the brink with a side that had finished 9th the season before, had reached the Cup Final and had been strengthened subsequently. At least Roeder remained true to West Ham's traditions, playing the game in the right way and blooding Academy players. Curbishley threw every principle out of the window and turned us into the new Charlton Athletic, driving a stake through the heart of our soul. Roeder is a crap manager, no question, but the poor sod was out of his depth and has never sought to justify himself; Curbishley still thinks he was doing a good job and that the club were wrong to force his resignation! I have a hunch that with a more inspiring man at the helm - such as Zola - we might have kept hold of Tevez for another season.

Fair comment.
I guess I still haven't got over the fact that he took a West Ham team, with some of the best (albeit young) players produced by our academy in years, down into the fizz and as a consequence, out of WHU.

Also please correct me if I'm wrong, but did we not finish 7th at the end of Roeder's first season?
