Wolves v West Ham Half Time Report

So far so promising, with some reservations. What a beautiful goal from Noble. The lad seemed to have lost his goal scoring touch last season but they don't come much better than this one. A sublime shot with power and placement from just outside the box. A few more like that and noble could be a dark horse for the South Africa World Cup victory!

Going forward we have looked surprisingly good. The finishing, Noble apart, has been disappointing but at least we have created openings. Dyer and Cole could both be on the scoresheet and Collison might have done better had he brought the ball down and shot rather than trying to head across the box. Ilunga was also denied by a good save.

At the back, Collins and Upson have been impressive, and Ilunga has looked as good as he did all last season. The problem, not surprisingly, is Faubert. Going forward he has done well, with two impressive crosses into the box but defensively he is dodgy. Time and again Wolves are probing down his flank and getting in crosses - though fortunately they have been crap so far. However, a better team would have scored by now. Itis not all Faux Pas' fault, Noble is not providing sufficient cover because he naturally wants to come infield. Collins has done a sterling job, covering the cracks thus far.
